Mnova NMR is a multivendor, multiplatform software for visualization, processing, analysis and reporting of 1D and 2D NMR data, designed to support the specific needs of analytical or organic chemists.

What is included?

The University of Queensland, funded with contributions from CAI, IMB and Science, has a Campus Wide licence of Mestrelab MNOVA NMR that contains qNMR and RM modules.

This is available for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems via a central licence server.

The current version is 11.0

Who can use it?

The University's authorised users include UQ staff, students and UQ affiliates (including research partners and visiting academics and researchers for support of teaching and academic research use but is NOT for use in commercial applications.

Campus wide includes all locations that are on the UQ network. Time limited (up to 90 days) off line licences are also available.

Licence fees apply for use on UQ computers. This licence authorisation covers installation on a UQ computer and for work at home use by staff.  The following Organisational Units participated in the 2014-15 annual renewal process and can have access to Mestrelab MNOVA NMR by contacting their IT Support for the Unit.

Staff from all other University of Queensland Organisational Units can initiate access to this software by emailing software.licences@uq.edu.au . An annual contribution of $450 will be required.

The License is available to all faculty, staff & students for support of teaching and academic research use but is NOT for use in commercial applications.

Home use for staff

Home use (on your private computer) is only possible where your organisational unit has contributed for access. A list of approved groups can be found in the 'Who can use it' section above

Staff home use (on private computers) is permitted by connecting to the licence server in the form of time limited (up to 90 days) off line licences. VPN connection will be necessary once every 90 days.

Staff use at home are subject to the same restrictions listed above under Conditions of Use.

Home use for students

Student home use (on private computers) is permitted for no charge by connecting to the licence server in the form of time limited (up to 90 days) off line licences. VPN connection will be necessary once every 90 days.

Student use at home are subject to the same restrictions listed above under Conditions of Use. 

Licence Type

The Mestrelab MNOVA NMR Campus licence is a perpetual licence which contains qNMR and RM modules. However an annual charge for ongoing support and upgrades is required. The annual renewal period runs from 1 November each year.

How do I install the software?

Client software can be downloaded from the ITS Software Download site at https://licensing.its.uq.edu.au/ (UQ login required).

Please request access to licence server by emailing software.licences@uq.edu.au from your UQ email address stating what UQ department you are with, the operating system and whether this is for a UQ owned computer or your own private computer. Unless your organisational unit is already listed in the 'Who can use it' section above, an annual charge of $450 will be required.
