IT partners with, and supports business and function owners to undertake projects that align
with the IT Strategy 2017 - 2020 to achieve its goals of enhancing the student experience,
enabling research and the academic endeavour and delivering services that the UQ community values.

This project will deliver a proof-of-concept (PoC) that allows students to search recordings of course lectures for spoken keywords or concepts.

The team are currently looking for course coordinators to trial the system with their lecture recordings.
The Office 365 Project is a phased project focussed on transitioning existing on-premise UQ staff Microsoft Office accounts to the Office 365 Software-as-a-Service suite.
The Casual Academic Hire and Payment (CAHP) project will address the end-to-end casual academic process of appointment and payment. The project is on track to have “payment by schedule” functionality in place for the commencement of Semester 1, 2018.
The OLA project solution will provide a consistent and enhanced experience for applicants applying to study at UQ. The solution will ensure a more reliable, efficient and informative online application and admission process for applicants, agents and staff.
The UQ Research Data Manager (UQRDM) enables UQ researchers and Higher Degree by Research students to securely store and share their research data, collaborate and re-use the data, and manage their projects’ research data.
Information Technology Services is in the process of upgrading the SI-net system ready for use on April 9th. The primary change to the SI-net system upgrade will be a new user interface that will provide a simple and intuitive way to navigate.
The Records Keeping Improvement Project will rollout the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) to standardise and improve document management across UQ. This will provide improvements to operational efficiency, and reduce risk posed by accidental loss or destruction.
