What is digital signage?

Digital signage refers to the display monitors found throughout the university that display helpful information relating to the particular department in which they are located and to the University in general.

Why would I use digital signage?

The main purpose of digital signage is to get your message across to your intended audience. The content of any particular display will vary depending on the requirements of the group responsible for that display, and may include: photographic documentation of recent faculty events, advertisement for upcoming events, faculty or university deadlines, major projects, etc.

Digital signage can also be used to display up-to-date timetable information for and Centrally Booked Rooms in the Vicinity of the Signage.

For more information on Timetable Signage, please see Room Booking Timetable Display.

The most common use of digital signage at the University is to display a rolling slide show of images. The digital signage can also play a variety of media including: Video, HTML Web pages, Streaming TV and Flash animations.
