Displaying room booking timetables

You can display live timetables for rooms that are timetabled through Syllabus Plus by creating a customised URL and viewing it in a web browser.

Booking information will update every 5 minutes.

You can choose from 3 different displays. Follow the instructions to create a URL for the type of display you want, then enter the URL into a web browser to display the timetable.

Single room, current and upcoming bookings

This display shows bookings for a single room, with the current booking as the main display and 3 upcoming bookings displayed across the bottom.

How to customise the URL

To customise the URL you need to replace 'Building-Room' with the relevant building and room number. If the building number is a single digit, add 0 to the beginning of it.

Example

This example shows the current and upcoming bookings for Room 206 in the Steele Building (Building 3).

The URL is:

Single room, multiple days

This display shows the timetable for a single room from Monday to Friday of the current week. You can edit it to show different days if you need to.

How to customise the URL

To customise the URL you need to:

Replace 'Year' with the current year, for example, 2019. You'll need to update this at the beginning of each year.
Replace 'Building-Room' with the relevant building and room number. If the building number is a single digit, add 0 to the beginning of it.

If you want to change the days displayed, replace '1-5' with numbers corresponding to the first and last days you want to show. Use 1 for Monday, 2 for Tuesday and so on, up to 7 for Sunday. To display timetables for Wednesday to Saturday you would enter 3-6.

To change the week displayed, replace 't' with a number corresponding to the week you want to show. These are calendar weeks, not weeks in University semesters or teaching periods. To show the first week of the year you would enter 1, and to show the last week of the year you would enter 52.

This example shows this week's timetable from Monday to Friday for Room 206 in the Steele Building (Building 3) in 2018.

Multiple rooms, single day

This display shows today's timetable for multiple rooms. You can edit it to show a different day if you need to.
