These guides will explain how to configure your UQ Staff emails for multiple devices.

Note: These steps may look different on your device.

Outlook 2016 for Windows

Setting up for the first time

  1. You will be greeted with the new account wizard when you log into your UQ machine and run Outlook 2016 for the first time.
    Click Next

  1. Confirm Yes is selected, then click Next

  1. Your details will fill automatically. 
    Click Next

  1. Once the configuration has completed, click Finish


You can now open Outlook and your emails will start downloading.

 

After removing your profile

  1. After your profile has been removed, open Outlook
  2. Enter your name and click OK

  1. Your details will fill automatically. 
    Click Next

  1. Once the configuration has completed, click Finish


Outlook will now open and your emails will start downloading.

Outlook 2016 for macOS

  1. Open Outlook 2016
  2. Enter your UQ username followed by @uq.edu.au into the Email field (e.g. uqjcitiz@uq.edu.au)
  3. Click Continue

  1. One of the below screens will appear. Enter your UQ password and continue.
    Please make sure your username is in the format uqusername@uq.edu.au

 

  1. Follow the prompts to complete the email account setup. Once setup is complete, you'll receive a confirmation.
  2. Click Done

Mail for macOS

Guide current for macOS Sierra 10.12.6.

  1. Open Mail
  2. Select Exchange and click Continue
  3. Enter the following and click Sign In:

Name: Your Name
Email Address: username@uq.edu.au (e.g. uqjcitiz@uq.edu.au)
Password: Your UQ password

  1. Select the apps you want to enable/disable and click Done.

Mail for iOS

Guide current for iOS 11.0.

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Accounts & Passwords
  3. Tap Add Account
  4. Tap Exchange
  5. Enter your UQ username followed by @uq.edu.au into the Email field (e.g. uqjcitiz@uq.edu.au)
  6. Enter a Description for your account. This can be anything you like.

  1. Tap Next
  2. Tap Sign In

  1. Enter your UQ password and tap Sign in
  2. Select the apps you want to enable/disable and tap Save.

Outlook for iOS

  1. Open the Outlook app on your device
  2. Enter your UQ username followed by @uq.edu.au into the Email field (e.g. uqjcitiz@uq.edu.au)

  1. Tap Add Account
  2. Enter your UQ username and password and tap Sign in

  1. Follow the prompts to finish setting up your account.

Outlook for Android

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Users & Accounts
  3. Tap Add Account
  4. Tap Add an email account
  5. Enter your UQ username followed by @uq.edu.au into the Email field (e.g. uqjcitiz@uq.edu.au)
  6. Tap Continue
  7. Enter your UQ username followed by @uq.edu.au into the Email field (e.g. uqjcitiz@uq.edu.au) and your password.
  8. Tap Sign in

Gmail for Android

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Users & Accounts
  3. Tap Add Account
  4. Tap Exchange
  5. Enter your UQ username followed by @uq.edu.au into the Email field (e.g. uqjcitiz@uq.edu.au) 
  6. Tap Next
  7. Enter your UQ Password and tap Next
  8. Tap Next
  9. Confirm by tapping OK 
  10. Tap Next to complete the Setup
