Why is training necessary?

UQ has identified cyber security as a top ten enterprise risk. Hacking is not just a regular news item, but a reality impacting both individuals and organisations.  Hacking has evolved to take advantage of weaknesses in people, processes and technology. Therefore, we all need to do our part in protecting the valuable information that underpins the University's operations.

The short, entertaining training modules will provide you with valuable information about how to protect yourself and the University from cyber threats.

Cyber security is everyone's business!

What is UQ doing?

UQ is investing heavily in cyber security to ensure that UQ's IT systems, intellectual property and personal information is secure. It is also putting in place procedures and a governance framework that will protect the University going forward.
