Desktop browsers

For most web browsers, you can use a short cut to clear your browser history:

  • for Windows, use Ctrl + Shift + Delete, and
  • for Mac, use Command-Shift-Delete.

If this doesn’t work, look for instructions for your browser in the list below.

If your browser isn’t listed, search in its Help menu for ‘clear browser history’ or ‘clear cache’.

If you can’t find your browser version, choose About from the Help menu or the browser menu. In Internet Explorer and Firefox, press Alt to show the menu bar.
