This Guide provides basic instruction on using the Collaboration Meeting Room (CRM) function of Cisco Jabber for desktop video conferencing at UQ.

What is the Collaboration Meeting Room (CMR)?

The Collaboration Meeting Room (CMR) is a personal virtual meeting room, which once configured remains active and usable on the UQ video conferencing infrastructure.

Who has access to a CMR?

The CMR service is available to every UQ Cisco Jabber user.

1. Configuring your Collaboration Meeting Room

Once you have familiarised yourself with the basic functions of the desktop video conferencing service, follow the steps below to configure the Collaboration Meeting Room:

  • Use a web browser (Firefox or Chrome recommended) to navigate to:¬†http://tps-tms.av.its.uq.edu.au/tms/user
  • Log in with your UQ credentials (you may have to do this twice depending upon your browser):
  • Click the Open Collaboration Meeting Room¬†link.

Click Set up your CMR.

  • Set a meeting room name - you can enter a custom name to be displayed for you meeting room.

If left blank, the default is Meeting Room for <first_name> <middle_name> <last_name>' - this can be changed later.

  • Click Next.

  • Setting a host PIN - you may change this to PIN of your choice, or leave the auto-generated Host PIN. This can be changed later.
  • Leave the Guest PIN blank for now.
  • Click Finish.

Your Collaboration Meeting Room is now configured.
