The purpose of this Quick Reference Guide is to build working knowledge and understanding of how to create a new contact.

The vast majority of contacts will be migrated into CRM from legacy CRM systems, including:

  • SI net – Current students
  • Aurion – Current staff
  • Various systems – Future & Prospective students

Checklist

For this reason, before you create a new contact you should complete the following checklist:

  1. Are you a current student? If yes, request student number
  2. Request an email address.  Search on the email address, using the CRM Quick Search tool
  3. Request first name and surname. Search on the email address, using the CRM Quick Search tool
  4. If the right contact cannot be found, then create a new contact

To create a new contact

  1. File menu > Contact > a blank contact workspace will open
  2. Enter contact details
  3. Click Save or Save and close
