ANSYS is an engineering simulation and 3D design software package available for Microsoft Windows and Linux. The package includes:

ANSYS access

Students and staff members within the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology (EAIT) can access ANSYS on UQ computers for free.

All other students and staff members, please submit an IT request if you require access to ANSYS.

Installing the ANSYS software

HDR students and staff members within the Faculty of EAIT can visit the EAIT help guide for instructions on installing ANSYS on UQ-owned computers.

Coursework students can visit the EAIT student help guide for instructions.

All other students and staff members, please submit an IT request, if you require ANSYS to be installed on a UQ device.

Home use

UQ doesn't support home use of UQ-licensed ANSYS.

Conditions of use
