Known problems

  • "Tool not licensed/you do not have necessary license to execute this tool" - Before you can use an extension it needs to be enabled. Inside your ArcGIS Desktop application (ArcCatalog/ArcGlobe/ArcMap/ArcScene) click on Customize in the menu, then on Extensions. Make sure the extensions you want to use are ticked, then click Close. You will only be able to activate extensions that are included in our licence. Each of the Desktop applications will need to have the extensions enabled separately.
  • Error 7174 for staff/student home use. Users need to activate code online before applying code to software installation. This is a 2 step process that must be completed in that order. Please follow the pdf instructions exactly to overcome this error.
  • Known Issue - Error:  7174: Only deployed entitlement line item can be fulfilled.  This can occur if there was an issue registering the authorisation number on the ESRI web site. For information on how to resolve, see http://support.esri.com/technical-article/000011870
