SAS is an advanced analytics, business intelligence, data management and predictive analytics software suite.
UQ has access to the:

JMP Academic Suite
The JMP Academic Suite is a collection of programs for statistical analysis that's available for Microsoft Windows and macOS. It consists of:
- JMP
- JMP Pro
Accessing SAS
SAS is available to all UQ organisational units, staff and students free-of-charge. You can self-install SAS on UQ computers managed by ITS. For other UQ computers, ask your local IT support team or submit an IT request to have it installed.
Home use
SAS is available for use on personal computers using a UQ licence from UQ Software Licensing. This licence is for personal computers only, not UQ-owned computers.
- Staff: you can use SAS at home for UQ work purposes
- Students: you can use SAS on your own computer for free. You will need to re-register every year on the licence renewal date.
Conditions of use
SAS can be used at UQ for academic and non-commercial research purposes. You cannot use SAS outside Australia.
The licence for SAS is centrally funded and renewed every year on 31 July.
