SigmaPlot is a scientific data analysis and graphing software package.

What is included?

Sigmaplot is only available for Windows operating system. The current version is 13.2

Who can use it?

Sigmaplot is central funded and is available to all UQ computers for no charge. Please contact your local desktop support team to arrange installation on your UQ owned computer.

Home use for staff

Home use for full time (paid) UQ staff on personal computers is available. Please visit software.licensing.its.uq.edu.au to obtain a licence. 

Note: This licence is only for UQ work purposes. Do not attempt to install this software on a UQ computer

 

Unpaid, part time and casual staff are not permitted home use on private computers.

Home use for students

Students are not able to use this software at home.

Conditions of Use

For University of Queensland academic and non-commercial research purposes only.

Licence Type

Renewable annually. Renewal period from 12 February to 11 February each year

How do I install the software?

Staff using UQ computers managed by ITS can self-install this software application using the Microsoft Software Centre.

Alternatively for UQ computers, please contact your local IT support team. If you’re unsure who that is, please contact ITS Servicedesk

For private computers of full time UQ staff members, please email software.licences@uq.edu.au from your UQ staff email address to request access.

Known Problems

  • A forced upgrade to latest version is required if the current installation has completely expired.
  • If the "Graph Page" ribbon tab is selected for Version 13, then clicking on the plot would produce unending series of "PageW" error messages. Please apply the HotFix to resolve this issue
  • Online activation issue with version 13 and Windows 8.1 . Please apply the Sigmaplot 13 license thru "RUS Tool (Rus.exe available in Sigmaplot 13 installed folder) using the second tab in that tool. If there is any error message, please email the screenshot of error message to software.licences@uq.edu.au
  • Activation issue with Version 13. To fix this involves deleting files from C:\ProgramData\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel LDK\installed\107466

    Option 1
    -close Sigmaplot
    -delete the older licence file(s) in <C:\ProgramData\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel LDK\installed\107466> (so only the most recent one is left)
    -launch Sigmaplot. It should now work.

    Option 2
    -close Sigmaplot
    -delete all the files in the folder <C:\ProgramData\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel LDK\installed\107466>
    -launch Sigmaplot again
    -activate sigmaplot with the current licence file
