Conditions of Use

Licence Type

The University of Queensland has entered into an Enterprise Term Licensing Agreement (ETLA) with Adobe for use of the Adobe Master Collection suite. This has since been updated to include a specified subset of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.

The ELA (agreement) runs from the 30th of October 2015 until the 29th October 2018. It entitles us to use the Adobe Master Collection suite across all UQ owned computers.

How do I install the software? (on UQ computers)

Staff using computers managed by ITS can self-install selected software applications using the Microsoft Software Centre.

Alternatively for UQ computers, please contact your local IT support team. If you’re unsure who that is, please contact ITS Servicedesk

Information for IT staff

The Master Collection CS6 products need to be installed using the Master Collection installer – not using the separate installers for the individual products. For the Creative Cloud suite, ITS has created an installation package containing the products we are entitled to, as well as a seperate installation package for Acrobat XI Pro. (but keep in mind you cannot use the Acrobat XI Pro software alongside the Master Collection CS6 products - if you wish to run Acrobat XI Pro you will need to upgrade to Creative Cloud.) The CC windows package needs to be installed via command line prompt.

The number of deployments needs to be recorded – we need to provide a report listing the number of installations that have been deployed at each annual renewal of this agreement. We also need to be able to provide this information if requested by Adobe or an Adobe appointed auditor.

You will also need an Adobe ID for all CS6 products. See Adobe ID FAQ page  http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/account-password-sign-faq.html .

Purchase of additional products (UQ computers)

Those products not included as part of Master Collection or Creative Coud products can still be ordered separately through UniFi. Please use UniFi to look up prices and purchase. Your local finance officer can assist with this if necessary. Please include the following information on your Unifi purchase – Name of user, phone number and computer name (see link )
