Who can use it?

The Oracle Linux site license is available to all Organisational Units of The University of Queensland.

Home use licences for staff and students

Terms and Conditions

License Type

This Oracle agreement is paid annually by Information Technology Services (ITS).

The agreement runs from 1 December to 30 November each year.

How do I install the software? (on UQ computers)

Please email a request to with the following:

  • The name of the organisational unit requesting access
  • Email address of your Linux administrator
  • How many servers does your organisational unit intend to register

We will then arrange access and assign appropriate permissions.
