Note: If you require a public folder to be created please contact your IT support.

Many departments have calendars stored in Public Folders and when you upgrade Outlook or get a new computer these can disappear and need to be re-added so that you can see it in your list of calendars.

Outlook 2016 (Windows)

  • Find the calendar by clicking on the ellipsis (...) down at the bottom of your Outlook window and Click on it

  • Click Folders

  • Expand All Public Folders. Either double click on the folder or click the little triangle.

  • Select the calendar you want and right click, then select Add to Favorites

  • Click Add to complete the process

  • This calendar can now be seen in your Other Calendars in the Calendar view

  • Tick the box next to the folder to get it to appear with your Calenders.

Outlook 2016 (Mac)

  • On the Tools menu, click Public Folders.

  • In the left pane, under Public Folders, click the Exchange account that you want.
  • Click the folder that you want to subscribe to, and then click Subscribe

  • The subscribed folder appears in the navigation pane under Subscribed Public Folders.
  • To view the contents of the folder, click the folder in the navigation pane. Messages or contacts in the folder appear in the item list. Or, if the folder is a calendar folder, events appear on the calendar.
