If you're a UQ or non-UQ student who lives in an on-campus college, you can enjoy internet access in your room along with other UQ internet services. 

UQ students

UQ students who live in an on-campus college can use their UQ student account to access the internet for free.

To purchase additional data, contact the ITS team in the Prentice Centre, St Lucia campus.

Non-UQ students

If you're a non-UQ student who lives in an on-campus college, you can enjoy internet access in your room at a reduced rate.

The cost of College Commercial Internet Access is $24 for six months. This service is only available in six-month blocks.

To set up your account:

The service includes:

  • 5GB download per month. Your download allowance is used whenever you access the internet at your college, or from locations on UQ campuses (including wifi) using your "CZ" username and password. UQ websites and most Australian university websites (except Notre Dame and Bond) do not count against your download quota.
  • Unlimited usage hours. You have unlimited usage hours when you connect to the internet via this account. 
  • Wifi access. There are three wifi networks on UQ campuses: UQ Wifi, Eduroam and UQ Visitor. Use your username and password to connect.
  • Purchasing additional data. You can purchase additional data by visiting the ITS team in the Prentice Centre, St Lucia campus.

Please note you will not receive a UQ email address through this service.
