User accounts and passwords
Staff and student accounts are automatically generated once the employment (for staff) or enrolment (for students) has confirmed and processed. Your account provides access to various UQ systems including the Internet and email. Please contact your supervisor or local administrator to confirm other access you may require.
You are required to change your default password when you first access UQ systems. We encourage you to change your password at least once every twelve months. You should keep your password secure and not share your password with anyone. The UQ password guide will assist in creating a secure password.
If you've forgotten your password and have a mobile phone number linked to your UQ account, you can reset your password using the Password Reset page.
If you know your current password and wish to change it, you can do so using the Password Change page.
