The AWS Direct Connect team have sent out notifications to individual account holders with regards to an upcoming scheduled maintenance on infrastructure used to provide our direct connect functionality. They have stated that during this 4 hour changed window, AWS Direct Connect services may become unavailable. This means, services that rely upon direct connectivity back to UQs network may be impacted if they have not been architected to handle this type of event.

Planned maintenance has been scheduled on an AWS Direct Connect router in Equinix SY3, Sydney from Wed, 27 Jul 2016 14:00:00 GMT to Wed, 27 Jul 2016 18:00:00 GMT for 4 hours. During this maintenance window, your AWS Direct Connect services listed below may become unavailable.
This maintenance is scheduled to avoid disrupting redundant connections at the same time.
If you encounter any problems with your connection after the end of this maintenance window, please contact us at https://aws.amazon.com/support .
