An Exchange product update will be applied to the servers providing the staff mail and calendaring service.

The product update includes security and other fixes. It also assists with maintaining support for the service. The update includes a notable functionality improvement which is to allow staff to view contact and calendar public folders in Outlook Web App (web mail) after making them a favourite in Outlook.

During the change an impact similar to applying the regular monthly security updates is expected. Staff may experience short service disruptions, usually less than 1 minute each, during the change window.

There is no impact to the centrally managed Sophos service for UQ machines.

The Sophos Enterprise Console is currently on version 5.3.1, which was succeeded by version 5.4.1 in September 2016.

The enterprise console and associated databases need to be upgraded to the latest version.

There is no anticipated impact on the 14000 endpoints protected with Sophos. However, it will not be possible to make changes to the configuration of endpoints or update managers during this change.

Central Plaza Management on behalf of its owners have the requirement to carry out a FULL BUILDING SHUTDOWN to complete Major Switchboard Planned Maintenance.

These works are to conduct inspections and servicing of our main switchboard breakers. These breakers are what switch over when required during a CBD / building loss of power, and where the generators are needed to provide back-up power. They are therefore considered as critical equipment.

The expected duration of these works will be 12 hours, commencing at 7am Saturday 3rd of December 2016.



During this time there will be nil building services available, therefore no air conditioning, cooling water, lighting and or lifts etc. While these works take place the building will not be allowed to be occupied.

We will have additional guards in place during this time to maintain building security.

An ESXi host has failed in GPnorth Nutanix cluster. Virtual machines have migrated and are restarting on other hosts in the cluster.

ESXi host was found with purple screen. All virtual machine running on this host successfully restarted on other member of the cluster, but would have experienced a brief outage whilst they restarted. ESXi host has been restarted and Logs have been gathered for further analysis.
