Single Sign-On (SSO)
What is Single Sign-On (SSO)?
Single Sign-On allows you to seamlessly access a range of UQ websites with the benefit of only having to sign in once.
Signing in will create a session that lasts for 8 hours. The sessions ends if you close your web browser, the session times or you logout. ITS always recommends that you close your web browser after logging out.
If you have logged into one service with Single Sign-On you won’t be shown the login screen if you visit another website using Single Sign-On. Below is an example using the ITS login and SSO.
Incorporating SSO on UQ-related websites benefits users by giving them a seamless experience and also allows web applications to securely authenticate against UQ credentials. If you have a website and would like to use the SSO authentication, please contact the team on firstname.lastname@example.org
